The Senate Chairman, Head of Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions Kassym-ZhomartTokayev held a meeting with representatives of the Office of the Senate, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and Sport and the International center of cultures and religions.
Emphasizing the importance of the religious forum for dialogue development on issues of peace and security, K. Tokayev stressed the need to implement the quality initiatives of President Nursultan Nazarbayev. The Speaker instructed to analyze the proposals and ideas put forward at the Congress of religious and political leaders. The Responsible state agencies have been instructed to spread the V Congress Declaration in the UN, OSCE, OIC and other organizations, as well as on a systematic basis to explain the essence of inter-religious dialogue in Astana. K. Tokayev also called for the strengthening of cooperation of the Congress with the Alliance of Civilizations of the United Nations and other interactive structures.
