On November 26, 2024, a memorandum of cooperation was signed in videoconference format between The International Center for Interfaith and Interreligious Dialogue and The Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue of the Organization for Culture and Islamic Relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The purpose of signing the Memorandum is to implement mutual cooperation in the development of interreligious dialogue, exchange information, experience, implement joint projects and events, organize meetings, forums and conferences of mutual interest aimed at promoting the "Concept of Development of the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions for 2023-2033."
During the online meeting, the parties noted that the conclusion of this Memorandum will give impetus to the joint implementation of the mission to bring cultures, religions and civilizations closer together at the international level.
For reference: Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (CID) of the Islamic Organization for Culture and Relations (ICRO) is the official body of the Islamic Republic of Iran as part of its cultural diplomacy efforts. CID's activities are aimed at creating building international dialogue, promoting mutual understanding and strengthening cooperation between religious leaders, societies and cultural institutions, Center is also a regular participant in the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions and Its Institutions.
