On January 19, Chairman of the Board of the N.Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue B.Sarsenbayev met with Chairman of the Bashkir ethnocultural center of Kazakhstan U.Aznabayev.
During the meeting, B.Sarsenbayev spoke about the key provisions of the "2023-2033 Development Concept of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions", adopted by the participants of the XXI meeting of the Congress Secretariat, and stressed the importance of implementing this document and promoting it at home and abroad.
The Chairman of the Board of the Center noted that this Concept implies an updated vision of the development of the forum for the coming years by combining the efforts of religious leaders to solve the most pressing problems of humanity, and is also aimed at deepening cooperation between the Congress and UN institutions and other reputable international organizations in order to expand the range of partners and the geography of the forum's activities.
In turn, U.Aznabayev highly appreciated the initiative put forward by the leadership of Kazakhstan to promote dialogue between world and traditional religions. He also stressed that dialogue, mutual understanding and respect are a powerful force ensuring peaceful coexistence of all cultures and religions.
Following the meeting, the parties outlined priority areas for further cooperation in the field of intercultural and interreligious dialogue.
