The building is built in classical Islamic style with traditional Kazakh ornaments. It can accommodate 10,000 people. The entire Hazrat Sultan Mosque has a height of 51 meters and a diameter at the base of the dome of 28.1 meters. The mosque also has eight small domes with diameters of 10.45 and 7.6 meters, and peaks of 33.46 and 25, 25 meters. In the corners of the mosque are 4 minarets with a height of 77 m.
Construction of the mosque began in 2009, and the opening took place on 6 July 2012.
