Ethno-memorial complex “Map of Kazakhstan “Atameken” was opened September 8, 2001 by the initiative of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. The founder of the enterprise is Akimat of Nur-Sultan city. Authorized body of the enterprise is the Department of Culture of Nur-Sultan city.
The purpose of activity of the map of Kazakhstan “Atameken” is to ensure the safety, accessibility and inclusion of the population to the historical, cultural and spiritual values, the promotion of the achievements of Kazakhstan culture, promoting the study of the historical heritage of Kazakhstan, colorful reflection of natural areas and economic achievements of the Republic of Kazakhstan, preservation and enhancement of the cultural values.
Cognitive-art complex “Map of Kazakhstan “Atameken” will acquaint you with the history of the state, the culture of the people inhabiting it. The stylized mountains, hills, grasslands, forests, lakes, symbolically marked the largest cities make up the ensemble of symbolic cultural center. Interesting part of the map of Kazakhstan “Atameken” is decoratively – designed model of the Caspian Sea.
