Cathedral of Our Mother of Perpetual Help was erected in Nur-Sultan in 1998. This Catholic church is the most beautiful building in the city.
The history of the parish began in the 30s of the last century, when residents of the western regions of Ukraine, Belarus and the Volga region were deported to Kazakhstan. Until 1958, believers gathered underground. Only in 1978 the parish was registered, at the same time a prayer house was consecrated, bought with money collected by people.
The cornerstone for the construction of the temple was consecrated by Pope John Paul II on September 23, 2001 during his pilgrimage to Kazakhstan. And the cathedral itself was consecrated by the Pope's representative in Russia, Archbishop Antonio Mennini, on June 25, 2006, almost immediately after the completion of construction work.
Кафедральный собор Матери Божией Неустанной Помощи был возведен в Нур-Султане в 1998 года. Этот католический храм является самым красивым зданием города.
История прихода началась еще в 30-е годы прошлого века, когда в Казахстан были депортированы жители западных районов Украины, Белоруссии и Поволжья. До 1958 года верующие собирались подпольно. Только в 1978 году приход был зарегистрирован, тогда же был освящён молитвенный дом, купленный на собранные людьми деньги.
Краеугольный камень под строительство храма освятил Папа Иоан Павел II 23 сентября 2001 года во время своего паломничества в Казахстан. А сам собор был освящен представителем Папы Римского в России Архиепископ Антонио Меннини 25 июня 2006 года практически сразу же после окончания строительных работ.
