On November 13, 2025, the international conference “India and Kazakhstan: Forging Partnerships in an Age of Disruption” was held in Almaty. The event was organized by the Embassy of India in Astana in partnership with the Heartland Expert Analytical Center and Narxoz University.
The conference focused on strengthening political, economic, and strategic cooperation between Kazakhstan and India amid global instability.
The forum featured three thematic sessions:
The first session addressed strategic and political relations between Kazakhstan and India, as well as the role of Central Asia in global geopolitics.
The second session discussed issues of security, counterterrorism, and digital governance in the era of artificial intelligence.
The third session focused on the importance of economic diplomacy as a tool for ensuring regional stability and security.
The conference brought together prominent Kazakhstani and Indian experts, representatives of government bodies, research institutions, and analytical centers.
Among the participants was Bulat Sarsenbayev, Advisor to the International Center for Interfaith and Interreligious Dialogue and Goodwill Ambassador of the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. In his address, he emphasized the importance of fostering mutual respect and trust among religions and cultures in the context of modern global turbulence and expressed gratitude to the Embassy of India for its active participation and valuable contribution to the event.
The forum served as an important dialogue platform aimed at further developing the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and India and at strengthening peace and stability in the region.
