The N. Nazarbayev Center and the Muslim Institute of Pakistan signed a memorandum of understanding

On May 23 of this year, Chairman of the Board of the N. Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilizational Dialogue B. Sarsenbayev and Chairman of the MUSLIM Institute Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali discussed the prospects for further cooperation in promoting intercultural and interreligious dialogue and signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

Guided by mutual interest in strengthening interreligious and intercultural dialogue, the organizations intend to cooperate in the implementation of projects and activities that correspond to their missions. In particular exchange of experience, practice of the development of intercultural and interfaith dialogue, the organization of meetings, forums and conferences of mutual interest.

During the bilateral meeting, Chairman of the Board B.Sarsenbayev informed about the activities of the Center, as well as about the unique Kazakh model of interethnic and interfaith harmony – the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.

In his turn, the Chairman of the "MUSLIM Institute" Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali expressed his gratitude to B.Sarsenbayev for the warm welcome and confidence in further successful cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, a tour of the Museum of Peace and Harmony was organized for the delegation from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

For reference: The Chairman of the Muslim Institute, His Excellency Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali, the 10th descendant of the royal house of the Grand Sufi of the 17th century, Sultan Al-Arifin Sultan Bahu. In recognition of his achievements, the International Research Institute for Peace and Development (INSPAD) included him in the list of the ten most influential Muslims of 2020.
