Bulat Sarsenbayev met with the Apostolic Nuncio to Kazakhstan Archbishop Francis Assisi Chullicatt

On February 24 of this year, Bulat Sarsenbayev, Chairman of the Board of the N.Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue met with the Apostolic Nuncio to Kazakhstan, Archbishop Francis Assisi Chullikatt.

During the meeting, Bulat Sarsenbayev underlined the special role of the Catholic Church of Kazakhstan in promoting interfaith harmony, ensuring peace, spiritual development and interreligious dialogue with the representatives of other faiths.

"This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and the Vatican. During this time, Kazakhstan and the Vatican have established constructive cooperation based on full mutual understanding and cooperation," the Chairman of the Board noted.

Also B.Sarsenbayev, as the Commissioner for promoting the goals and objectives of the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, spoke about the work of the Center for organizing and preparing for the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which will be held on September 14-15 this year in Nur-Sultan.

In his turn, the Vatican Ambassador to Kazakhstan assured that the Apostolic Nunciature will make all necessary efforts to maintain cooperation between the Vatican and Kazakhstan on issues of ensuring interreligious harmony and promoting intercultural dialogue in the world.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on further cooperation in the framework of preparatory work for the XX meeting of the Congress Secretariat and the VII Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions
