The Center meets an Israeli delegation led by the Chairman of the Knesset

On April 9, 2025, the International Center for Interfaith and Interreligious Dialogue hosted an Israeli delegation arrived in Kazakhstan, led by the Chairman of the Knesset of the State of Israel Amir Ohana and Chairman of the Interparliamentary friendship Kazakhstan – Israel Group Vladimir Belyak.

The meeting was attended by Marat Kalizhanov, Acting Chairman of the Board of the Center, Daulet Yemberdiyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the State of Israel, Nurtore Zhussip, Chairman of the Committee on Socio-Cultural Development and Science of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Head of the Group for Cooperation with Israel as well as Laura Shirimbayeva, Representative of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged welcoming words and discussed topical issues of developing bilateral relations, as well as strengthening interreligious and interfaith dialogue. Marat Kalizhanov spoke in detail about the activities of the Center and the role of Kazakhstan in organizing the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. The Israeli side highly appreciated Kazakhstan's efforts in promoting the ideas of tolerance and expressed confidence in the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, the parties presented their gifts and visited the Museum of Peace and Accord.
