Bulat Sarsenbayev met with the Egyptian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Manal Yehia El Shinnawi

On February 9 of this year, Chairman of the Board of N. Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev met with the Ambassador of Egypt to Kazakhstan Manal Yehia El Shinnawi.

During the meeting, Bulat Sarsenbayev, as the Commissioner for promoting the goals and objectives of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, spoke about the work of the Center for organizing and preparing for the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which will be held on September 14-15 this year in Nur-Sultan. The Head of the Center noted the importance of the Egyptian side's participation in the upcoming event.

As Bulat Sarsenbayev said: «It is symbolic that our meeting is taking place on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries. It is gratifying that over these years all the necessary conditions have been created for the development of interreligious and intercultural dialogue».

Sides also discussed the prospects of cooperation between N. Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue and the Al-Azhar Center for Interreligious Dialogue and the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation by the organizations.

Bulat Sarsenbayev expressed gratitude to the Egyptian side for supporting the Center's initiatives to promote interreligious dialogue at the global level and the work of the Congresses of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.
