On April 18, 2025, a lecture on the topic "The Concept for the Development of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions for 2023-2033" took place at the Karaganda University named after Academician E.A. Buketov. The speaker was Bauyrzhan Bakirov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the International Center for Interconfessional and Interreligious Dialogue.
During the event, the goals and objectives of the new Concept for the Development of the Congress, adopted in 2022, as well as its role in strengthening global peace and harmony, were highlighted in detail. The speaker paid particular attention to the promotion of the ideas of peace, tolerance, and mutual respect, as well as the increasing importance of religious leaders in the context of modern challenges.
The audience showed interest in the topic, which was reflected in active participation in the question-and-answer session. Participants emphasized the relevance of the issues raised and the importance of developing interreligious cooperation in the context of globalization.
Following the meeting, the significant role of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in strengthening Kazakhstan's international authority was noted.
