Representatives of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Eastern European region visited the N. Nazarbayev Center

On May 24,2022 Deputy Chairman of the Board of the N. Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilizational Dialogue Nurlan Yessimov met with the President of the Eastern European Region of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Alexey Samaykin and the Director of Public Relations of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Eastern European region S. Antamanov.

During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Board N. Yessimov informed the guests about the goals and objectives of the Center, preparatory work for the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.

In turn, A. Samaykin highly appreciated the Kazakh model of interethnic and interfaith harmony, stressing that the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions one of the unique dialogue platforms that has no analogues.

The parties discussed the possibility of interaction on the development of interfaith dialogue aimed at ensuring stability, peace and harmony, participation and organization of joint events, as well as exchange of experience.

At the end of the meeting, a tour of the Museum of Peace and Harmony was organized for the guests of the Center.
