Representatives of leading foreign media visited N. Nazarbayev Center

From 23 to 28 August this year on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site, a press tour is being held for foreign journalists in Kazakhstan. As part of the press tour on August 27 this year, journalists visited N.Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue.

During a meeting with editors-in-chief, journalists of leading international publications, news agencies and TV channels, including Petra (Jordan), Ethiopian Herald (Ethiopia), Finančné Noviny (Slovakia), Lithuanian Courier (Lithuania), Al-Nahar (Kuwait), NOVA (Italy), Belarus Today (Belarus), TV channel SVS (Azerbaijan), Economist UA (Ukraine), WAM (Emirates News Agency) (Syria / UAE), Media Hub International (Turkey), Al Wahda (Egypt/UAE), The Diplomatic Informer Magazine (South Africa), BCI Media (Canada), Chairman of the Managemnet Board of N. Nazarbayev Center Bulat Sarsenbayev informed about the key areas of the organization's activities, the role of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy N. Nazarbayev in preserving and ensuring interreligious harmony, as well as on the conceptual ideas of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions at the international level, and also briefed the guests on the preparations for the XIX meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress 5-6 October this year and by the VII Congress leaders of world and traditional religions in 2022.

«Today I am glad to welcome you within the walls of our Center. This year is very significant for Kazakhstan – the 30th anniversary of the Independence of our country, including an equally important event – the 30th anniversary of the closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site. The measures taken then by the First President of Kazakhstan – Elbasy, on the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons were almost completely able to eliminate the threat to the international community. Since the day of gaining independence, Kazakhstan has adhered to the policy of strengthening global security and peace, in connection with which it calls on all countries to follow our example. For this we have a significant accumulated experience and appropriate tools, with the help of which the Kazakhstani model of interreligious and intercivilizational harmony was built», - B. Sarsenbayev noted.

In addition, B. Sarsenbayev elaborated on the Center's events, including round tables for the XIX meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in India, Pakistan, Armenia, Hungary, Germany, Iran, Canada, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia. Arabia, Turkey, Czech Republic and Switzerland.

In turn, foreign journalists especially noted the international authority, the role of the Head of State Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, as well as the laid down ideology of peace, unity and harmony of Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev, which allowed Kazakhstan to build its own model of interreligious and interfaith harmony.

Within the framework of the meeting with journalists, Chairman of the Management Board of N. Nazarbayev Center Bulat Sarsenbayev discussed the issues of cooperation with the representative of the Pakistan Center for Global and Strategic Studies Mehmud ul Hasan Yakub Muhamad.
