On 16 January 2026, a meeting took place in Astana between staff members of the International Center for Interfaith and Interreligious Dialogue and representatives of the Bahá’í Community in Kazakhstan.
The International Center presented its ongoing initiatives within the framework of the Astana Peace Declaration – 2025, with particular emphasis on projects addressing key challenges of the climate agenda, the responsible development of artificial intelligence, and the promotion of the Global Movement for Peace as a platform for international dialogue and cooperation.
Representatives of the Bahá’í Community shared practical experience in implementing educational and community initiatives aimed at fostering responsible attitudes toward climate change and promoting conscious youth education as a foundation for a sustainable future. During the discussion, the importance of cultivating a culture of peace, strengthening interfaith understanding, and enhancing social responsibility was emphasized.
Special attention was given to issues of women’s leadership development and the strengthening of the family institution as essential factors for the sustainable and harmonious development of society.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed mutual interest in further cooperation aimed at promoting the values of peace, dialogue, and sustainable development.
