Bangkok, June 11, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Thailand Arman Issetov met with President of the World Fellowship of Buddhists Phallop Tayiri.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the participation of the World Fellowship of Buddhists in the VIII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which will be held on September, 2025, in Astana.
Ambassador Issetov noted the importance of this event in ensuring interfaith dialogue. It was stressed that in the context of increasing global threats and disagreements, leaders of the religious world can unite humanity.
In turn, President Tayiri stated that the World Fellowship of Buddhists has consistently expressed support for holding the Congress of Religious Leaders in Kazakhstan for many years and confirmed his participation in the forum heads of religions this autumn in Astana.
