A lecture on the role of the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions was held in major regional higher educational institutions of the country.

On March 15, the N.Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue in an online format organized a lecture on the Role of the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in the modern world and the key provisions of the "2023-2033 Development Concept Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions" for students, undergraduates, faculty The Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, South Kazakhstan University named after M.Auezov and The Atyrau State University named after Kh.Dosmukhamedov.

During the lecture, the senior expert of the Center, PhD Ruslan Ibraev, noted the importance of promoting global dialogue among civilizations, cultures and religions within the framework of the Kazakh initiative to convene a Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. "Today, in order to solve global problems, it is important to use the integrating and creative potential of world and traditional religions, as well as a set of universal and spiritual values. In this regard, the adopted Development Concept Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions until 2033 clearly demonstrates the further gradual development of the interreligious platform of the Congress and its role in strengthening interfaith and intercivilization dialogue in the world. Our mission is for all people of good will, the younger generation, together with spiritual, political and public leaders of all countries, to unite and help promote the values of tolerance, peace and harmony," the lecturer stressed.

Earlier, lectures on explaining the goals and objectives of the Congress were held at L.Gumilev Eurasian National University, S.Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University (Astana), Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Egyptian University of Islamic Culture Nur-Mubarak, as well as the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abaya (Almaty).

For reference: «2023-2033 Development Concept Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions» was adopted by the participants of the XXI Secretariat of the Congress in October 2023 in Astana. The document defines a common vision for the further development of the Congress, mission, goals and activities until 2033. Within the framework of the new development paradigm of the Congress in the coming decade, the mission of the Congress is to further strengthen mutual understanding and respect between communities of world and traditional religions, as well as realize the potential of spiritual diplomacy to help create a just, safe and prosperous future for all mankind.
