Today, September 17 of this year, Chairman of the Management Board of N. Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev met with representatives of leading foreign media. The meeting was organized as part of a press tour of journalists to the XVII Eurasian Media Forum, which is held from 15 to 17 September in Nur-Sultan.
Welcoming foreign guests, Chairman of the Management Board of N. Nazarbayev Center Bulat Sarsenbayev told about the key initiatives of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy N. Nazarbayev in preserving and ensuring interfaith harmony, the achievements of independent Kazakhstan in the interreligious sphere, as well as the increased interest of the world community in the Congress site leaders of world and traditional religions in the turbulent development of the modern world. «Today the Congress has established itself as an effective platform for promoting dialogue between representatives of spiritual and religious leaders. Against the background of conflicts in different parts of the planet on religious grounds, the Congress is gaining even greater urgency and the need to embody the ideas of cooperation and unity», - said the Head of the Center.
In addition, answering questions from journalists, Bulat Sarsenbayev dwelled on the activities of the Center and its key events, including the upcoming October 5-6 this year. XIX Secretariat of the Congress under the leadership of the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Head of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions M. Ashimbayev, round tables in 13 countries of the world, such as India, Pakistan, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Armenia, Hungary, Germany, Iran, Canada, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia and Turkey, organized jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and aimed at broad information coverage of the upcoming XIX meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress and the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which will be held in 2022.
In turn, the chief editors and journalists of leading international publications and information agencies, including «Lobmeyr Public Image» (Austria), «Petra» (Jordan), «Dalma News» (Armenia), «EADaily» (Armenia), «Verelq» (Armenia), «Moscow Says», «Nezavisimaya Gazeta», «Versiya», «Komsomolskaya Pravda», «Profil» (Russia) noted the special role of Elbasy N. Nazarbayev and the consistent policy of the Head of State K. Tokayev in ensuring interreligious harmony in country and in the world, and also emphasized the importance of Kazakhstani initiatives in the consolidation of peacekeeping efforts on security issues in the international arena.
Summing up, the participants of the meeting agreed that the experience of Kazakhstan is an indicator of the successful building of its own model of intercultural interaction, which contributes to the development of the world at the global level.
