The issues of mutual cooperation were discussed by Chairman of the Management Board of N. Nazarbayev Center and Ambassador of India to Kazakhstan

Today, on August 5, Chairman of the Management Board of N. Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev met with the Ambassador of India to the Republic of Kazakhstan Mrs. Shubhdarshini Tripathi.

The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen cooperation, discuss important aspects of the development of relations in the interfaith and interreligious spheres.

The head of the Center noted that since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992, bilateral ties between Kazakhstan and India are rapidly strengthening and developing.

«The Republic of India is one of the key political, trade, economic and investment partners of Kazakhstan. Relations between our peoples have ancient traditions and are deeply rooted in the past. Today, the prospects for the development of Kazakh-Indian relations show that we have chosen the right vector of cooperation. In this regard, we intend to further strengthen interaction in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, to promote common spiritual and human values ​​in the name of peace and interfaith harmony», - said Bulat Sarsenbayev.

During the meeting, Chairman of the Management Board of the Center informed the Head of the Embassy of India in Kazakhstan about the active preparatory work for the upcoming XIX meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress, which will be held this year and VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which will be held in 2022, informed about the international events of the Center, dedicated to 30th anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan.

The Chairman of the Management Board of the Center Bulat Sarsenbayev stressed that on the eve of XIX meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress, N. Nazarbayev Center, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the basis of diplomatic missions abroad, is launching a series of round tables aimed at promoting the key initiatives of the Elbasy to ensure and maintain interfaith dialogue, develop a unique international platform – Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions at the global level.

In particular, Bulat Sarsenbayev invited Ms. Shubhdarshini Tripathi to take part in a round table to be held in New Delhi on August 17 this year.

Ms Ambassador Shubkhdarshini Tripathi expressed gratitude to Chairman of the Management Board of the Center Bulat Sarsenbayev for the warm welcome and the opportunity to discuss important issues of cooperation, noting the invaluable role and contribution of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy N. Nazarbayev and Head of State K. Tokayev in the development of interfaith and intercivilization dialogue in the international arena.

In addition, the Ambassador confirmed the intentions of the Indian side to develop cooperation with the Center in the implementation of a common mission for all mankind to ensure and preserve security, stability and interfaith harmony in the world.

Following the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the further strengthening of Kazakh-Indian relations, the implementation of joint promising projects, the organization of events aimed at popularizing the ideas of Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, as well as the development of mutual dialogue between cultures, religions and civilizations.
