N. Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue signed a Memorandum of mutual cooperation with the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies

Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue Bulat Sarsenbayev signed a Memorandum of mutual cooperation with Acting Director of the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies Serik Seidumanov.

Based on common values ​​and mutual understanding, the parties intend to carry out a partnership on the exchange of professional experience, information and research materials with a view to using them in future work.

The Memorandum also provides for the organization of joint scientific and practical events for the implementation of state policy in the religious sphere, including the participation of the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies in a round table on the topic: «Topical issues of religious studies in Kazakhstan» With religious leaders and experts in the field of religion, preparations for the 19th meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress in 2021 and the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in the next.

The parties emphasized the growing role of the religious and expert community in the development of scientific projects in the field of interfaith relations, as well as the importance of inte grace and attraction of domestic scientists to the applied research carried out by the Institute for the Analysis of the Religious Situation and Religious Expertise, operating on the basis of the N.Nazarbayev Center.

Following the meeting, Bulat Sarsenbayev invited the Director of the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies Serik Seidumanov to take part in the opening of the international photo exhibition «Islam and Humanity: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow» , which will be held on May 17 this year in the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as in the upcoming international online conference «Neighborliness of Cultures in the 21st Century of Central Asian Countries»  held by the N. Nazarbayev Center on May 20 this year.

Recall, in order to establish partnerships and promote the ideas of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, the Chairman of the Board of the Center N. Nazarbayev Bulat Sarsenbayev from May 11 to 17 of this year, within the framework of a working trip to Almaty, holds meetings with the leaders of leading higher educational institutions, research and non-governmental organizations, representatives of the largest mass media of Kazakhstan.
