Pakistani scholar praiseful of Kazakh leadership for advancing sustainable peace, harmony

ASTANA: (WNAM): We have to understand that violence in the name of religion is in fact violence against the religion. This was stated by Mohammad Zia ul Haq, Director General, Institute for Islamic Research, International Islamic University, Islamabad during his address to the Congress of the World Leaders and Traditional Religions here in Astana on Wednesday.

He said that last twenty years are witness of the commitment of the leadership and people of Kazakhstan for advancing sustainable peace and harmony among the followers of different regions.

He added that the 7th Congress of the Word Leaders and Traditional Religions had adopted a significant communique, discussing the role of religious leaders for bringing peace  and stability in the world and that after the Congress the Secretariat continuously  worked with its partner organizations. There had been continuous meetings, conferences, round tables and discussions about the vision, Kazakhstan prepared in the name of  2023-2033 development concept. He termed the development concept as the way forward, turning differences into diversity ,  contributing  in sustainable peace and development.

He extended his profound recognitions to the entire Kazakh leadership for regularly convening the meetings of the working groups  of the Congress during  last two decades.
