I am grateful to you for your kind message on the occasion of Christmas and the New Year.

Ad I am writing from home, I am not writing on the Offices paper with heading.

The birth of Jesus Christ and his message of peace, pardon, reconciliation, fraternity and compassion brings joy to the world. It is also a call to his followers to be faithful to him and to the message he came to bring to humanity. His message is universal transcending his followers.

I wish you good health, serenity and energy to continue serving your country in a domain so dear to the Kazakh Leadership and to the entire population: promoting positive and fruitful relations among people of diverse religions and belonging to diverse cultures and civilizations. You know, dear Friend, that you can count on my cooperation in the name of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue to reach this end.
